About the route
Starting point: Yacht Haven Marina
Arrival: We can arrange a transfer from the airport to the marina for you. The transfer is not included in the price.
About: Phuket is the largest island in Thailand. Phuket’s waters provide one of the best cruising areas in South-East Asia. Venture away from the island in almost any direction, and you’re likely to find a tropical island with secure anchorages and deserted beaches. Phang Nga’s islands soar straight out of the water like beacons, the dazzling beaches of Krabi offer a dramatic coastline and Koh Phi Phi is the jewel of the area, with clear waters perfect for diving, snorkelling and all the onshore entertainment you could want.
It’s no wonder that Phuket has become South-East Asia’s sailing and yachting centre. The weather is perfect for sailing, with the north-east wind season, from November to April, being fine and clear, and the south-west season, from May to October, bringing occasional rain between long sunny periods. The protected eastern side of Phuket is sheltered from rain and wind, allowing for gentle cruising all year round.
Itinerary
After breakfast sail north to the world-famous “James Bond Island” Go ashore and take photographs before the crowds arrive. Head across the top of Koh Yao Noi, and down towards the clearer water of Koh Hong Krabi.
Sail south towards Phi- Phi. Have a lunch stop at the famous “Chicken Head Islands”. These two islands are unusual in the fact that at high tide they are separate islands, but at low tide, they are joined by a sandy isthmus that you are able to walk across. Enjoy a light lunch at the small restaurant onshore.
Sail back towards Phuket stopping at the lovely “restaurant on a rock” and Koh Kai Nui for some last-minute snorkeling.

Picking a boat type
Picking out the type of boat to go with will generally come down to your budget, the group size, and preferred method of sailing. Moreover, different sailboats available can be chartered independently or with a fully-staffed crew.
