Sailing with kids

This route is made for family sailing because the listed destinations have mostly nice weather and safe places for kids to play, swim, and enjoy.

Kids of all ages can participate in life onboard! The skipper can teach the kids sailing basics and make them captains first mates 🙂

There are two levels of service we offer: Exclusive service where food and drinks are included and Standard service where you take care of the food onboard on your own. All the other things like the skipper, fuel, mooring fees, and safety equipment are included in both service levels.

Good to know

All boats meant for sailing with kids have safety nets. Everybody will get a life jacket to wear the whole time while sailing – making it a relaxed and safe holiday for the whole family.

IMPORTANT: Please note that all restaurants and activities on the land listed are suggestions only, and are not included in the price. The trip can be changed according to your wishes, i.e. stopovers can be added or removed.

The itinerary depends on the weather conditions and other unpredicted factors and can be changed accordingly.

Split, Kaštela or Trogir

Arrival:
Split International airport is only 10-15 km away from all marinas in the area. We can arrange a transfer from the airport to the marina for you. Transfer is not included in the price.

Sailing from Split and around the islands of the Dalmatian archipelago attracts many seafarers with its magical beauty and unspoiled nature.

During the sailing season, the archipelago becomes full of life and colors. In secluded bays of pristine nature, you can find your oasis of peace.

There are many kids activities in Split and Dalmatian islands that will make your family holidays memorable. Croatia has always been a child-friendly destination, and it’s one of the safest family destinations in Europe.

Itinerary

Day 1
Split

The plan for the first day is to arrive on Saturday in Split and get to the Marina. Your check-in on the boat will be at 5 PM and you will spend the night there. Without hiding their pride, the people of Split will tell you that their city is “the most beautiful one in the world and beyond”! The story about Split town is already 17 centuries old, dating to the time the Roman Emperor Diocletian decided to build his Palace right on the peninsula near the great Roman city Salona, where he wanted to spend the last years of his life.

Day 2
Starigrad, island of Hvar

It is time to set sail and head towards the oldest Croatian town, Starigrad situated on the island of Hvar, one of the most popular islands on the Croatian coast. For centuries Stari Grad was a safe harbor to sailors, which have been welcomed by town inhabitants on harbor promenade.

Stari Grad is a quiet, lazy place with lots of local flavour. The stone buildings and streets of the old town have been exquisitely restored and feature small local shops and boutiques.

Vis town, island of Vis – the farthest inhabited Croatian island

Its exclusiveness is on the island itself; untouched nature and the people that haven’t been possessed by tourist commercialization. Interesting fact: “Mamma Mia! Here we go again” musical was filmed here.

Before berthing in Vis town, you will stop by in StoncĚŚica bay where kids can enjoy the sandy beach.

KomiĹľa, island of Vis

On your way to KomizĚŚa you will have a long and fun day of sailing, swimming and exploring. Some of the spots you will visit are Green Cave on Ravnik islet and Stiniva beach, one of the most photographed beaches in Croatia.

Komiža is a picturesque fisherman’s town with the sunniest days in a year, hundred-year-old carob trees, stone houses, medicinal Mediterranean plants and vineyards.

Day 6
Blue Cave, Maslinica, island of Ĺ olta

Blue Cave is a must-see if you are in KomizĚŚa. It is 5 NM away from KomizĚŚa on the island of BisĚŚevo. The best time to enter a Blue cave is around noon when the colors are spectacular. After visiting this great natural wonder you will sail towards the island of SĚŚolta.

SĚŚolta is undoubtedly one of the must-see destinations on this route. It is an island famous for its olive trees and olive oil making traditions as well as honey making tradition, made from wild rosemary. Locally it is called Olintio and it has been in use since ancient times.

Maslinica on the island Šolta has just been awarded the “Best Authentic Coastal Destination (small town)” where you can enjoy spectacular sunsets.

Split

This amazing trip should end with a day of swimming, relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Blue Lagoon on the small island KrnjasĚŚi. Boats should be back in the marinas on Friday till 6 PM. After that, you can enjoy your last evening in Split and check out on Saturday morning at 9 am.
