About this program

This is a 7 (Saturday – Saturday) day sailing trip starting from Zadar and is for those who want to rest, swim and enjoy the sun i.e. there is not that much sightseeing.

Please note that all restaurants and activities listed are only suggestions, and are not included in the price. The trip can be changed according to your wishes, meaning stops can be added or removed.

About the route

Starting point: Zadar

Arrival: Check-in at 5 PM at Zadar. You can access Zadar by plane, by ferry and by car (you can park at the marina).

About: Take your kids on a sailing experience of their life. Together you can take this amazing journey, explore places and come closer as a family. You will work as a team and your kids can learn valuable life lessons. This route is made for sailing with children. Islands are perfect places to visit – there are fewer cars, nature is wild and a great place to explore and learn, you can even meet some animals you don’t see on the mainland. The suggested bays have beaches that are easy to enter, but just in case, bring some jelly sandals – they are back in fashion.

Itinerary

Day 1
Zadar

Day 1. Zadar

Zadar is an old city. The city center is on a peninsula and was surrounded by walls. Today, you can take a walk on the walls and spend some time enjoying the views of the bay. In Zadar you should visit the Sea Organ and the Monument to the Sun where you can watch breathtaking sunsets.

Activities
Sail to city Ugljan on the island Ugljan – there is a safe anchorage for larger ships is south east from the port. You can visit monuments from early antics, villa Rustica, late antics mausoleum, remains of the late Christian basilica and monumental oil plant in the cove of Muline.
Sail to BoĹľava on Dugi otok – the bay surrounded by pine trees, there is a berth in the port where ships can take supply of water and electricity. In the summer, visitors are provided transportation to the famous beach Sakarun by a tourist train
Gastronomy

Konoba Ugljan – great place to try some fresh fish and seafood
Veli Kamik – place in BoĹľava where you can also enjoy breakfast
Day 2
Telaščica bay – Nature Park

day 2. Zadar – Telašćica

After a tasty breakfast in Božava, sail to Telaščica. On the way, you will pass some of the villages on Dugi Otok: Brbinj, Savar, Luka, Žman, Zaglav, and Sali. Also the island Iž and Rava. Telaščica is a Nature Park located in the southeastern part of Dugi took. The Telašćica bay is one of the safest, the most beautiful, and largest natural ports in the Adriatic. There are 6 islets and cliffs inside the bay, and 25 small coves on the 69 km indented coastline. It is an attractive anchorage for many boaters.

Visit the cliffs of Dugi Otok – they rise up to a height of 161 and offer a beautiful view to the open sea (sometimes you can even see Italy) and the viewpoint has a fence
Visit the Grpašćak viewpoint or take a walk to lake Mir (Peace)
Gastronomy

Konoba Krsovica – dine in the tree shade and enjoy some grilled fish
Day 3
NP Kornati

Day 3. Telašćica – Kornati NP, islands Levrnaka and Piškera

Kornati National Park is often mentioned as a “nautical paradise” in tourist publications. You will sail through the 89 unforgettable islands, islets, and reefs in the Kornati National Park.

Day 4
Zlarin

Day 4. Kornati – Zlarin

Zlarin is a small island near the mainland city of Ĺ ibenik. Zlarin’s highest point is Klepac. During the bright and sunny days from this point, you can see Mount Velebit and volcanic Jabuka island in the Adriatic Sea. Zlarin is a non-vehicle area.

If you visit Zlarin in August you can witness the “Latinskin idrun na kureja” – regatta reserved for wooden boats built on old, exclusively hand-made traditional ways and propelled by Latin sail
On the west coast of Zlarin there are a lot of beaches with pebbles that are easy to enter

Day 5
Skradin

Day 5. Zlarin – Skradin

Skradin is a small romantic Mediterranean town with narrow cobbled streets, passages, arches and stairs located near the Krka river and at the entrance to the Krka National Park. The entire town of Skradin is a protected cultural heritage monument.

Visit the Krka National Park and the beautiful waterfalls
Visit the Skradin Tower Clock – because of its weight, it was built on the nearest cliff instead of beside the church, which was the usual custom
The Medieval Fortress of Turina – the fortress was constructed in the 13th century and offers great views of the bay because of its location

Restaurant Skala – great place for meat lovers and vegetarians
Evala – the place to try traditional Skradin cake
Day 6
Murter

Day 6. Skradin – Murter

The island is in the northwest part of the Ĺ ibenik archipelago, separated from the mainland by a sea canal at Tisno which is spanned by a short draw-bridge. The southwestern coastline is predominantly steep slopes divided by many sandy coves. The island has lots of rocky beaches, as well as several sandy ones.
