What to Expect from Sailing the Amalfi Coast

This is a 7-day sailing trip starting from Salerno, Italy, meant for people who love exploring and have an adventurous spirit. The sailing route starts and ends on Saturday. When you find your yacht, you may want to choose a bareboat or skippered yacht charter, or even luxury yachts charter, to follow the route.

Please note that all restaurants and activities listed are only suggestions and are not included in the charter price. The trip can be changed according to your wishes and current weather, meaning stops can be added or removed.

We can arrange a transfer from Naples Airport to the marina for you. The Naples International airport is about 60 km away from all marinas in the area. The transfer is usually not included in the yacht charter price in Italy.

Day 1
Exploring Salerno

Salerno is one of the best starting points for your Amalfi coast cruise. It is located in Gulf of Salerno on the Tirrenian sea. A charming ancient city with narrow streets, medieval churches and houses, offers chilling atmosphere and excellent Mediterranean food.

Day 2
Sorrento

While sailing from Salerno to Sorrento take a swim break in Sorrento’s sea cliffs and caves. Sorrento has a stunning cliff 55 meters above the sea level from which is growing this small town. Sorrento area is known as a land of citrus, which esquisit lemons are one of the most popular in Italy.

Island of Procida

Island of Procida is the only island ever to get the title „Italy’s capital of culture 2022“. It is the smallest island in Naples Gulf, with geographical size of just 4 square kilometres. It is famous for its houses in different lively colours. Although it is not one of the most popular places in Amalfi coast, it was the best movie scenery for Holywood’s The Talented Mr Ripley and Italian movie Il Postino.

Climb to Terra Murata, medieval fortress surrounded by walls

Ischia

Ischia is the largest island in the Naples gulf. Most famous for attractive volcanic thermal spas, nice beaches and exquisite food. Besides idyllic colorful buildings and houses it has the nicest and longest sand beaches in Amalfi coast.

Visit The Giardini la Mortella, magic garden with exotic plants and flowers
Relax in Negombo Thermal Spa and nearby beach Di San Montano surrounded by large cliffs
Berth near Spiaggia San Pancrazio and swim in beautiful Grotta Verde (Green Cave). Due to sea reflections the cave is colored in a bright green color

Do not miss the beautiful atmosphere and excellent seafood in Deus Neptunus Ischia restaurant

Day 5
Capri

Capri is  considered to be, with a full right, one of the most beautiful places on earth. It is on a must see list for every jet-setter and it does offer luxurious vacation with unique places to see. No wonder Roman emperor Tiberius built a series of villas there, including Villa Jovis, today ruins worth to visit. While sunbathing on nice beaches try some of the local province dishes.

Amalfi

Amalfi town was once an antic Roman city and glorious medieval maritime republic and now a lovely trip destination full of heritage sites to see. It is easy to walk around the hilly city with characteristic white houses and villas. Enjoy sunbathing on some of the nicest beaches like Vine beach accessible by boat and Spiaggia Grande near the city center
